Northern California PGA, Total Golf Adventures Sign Partnership Agreement To Help Grow Game Among Youth

The Northern California PGA Section and Total Golf Adventures form a partnership to grow the game of golf among youth. Through the partnership, NCPGA and TGA will broaden the number of sites that offer the TGA National Junior Golf enrichment program throughout Northern California. There are currently five sites.

Mizuno will continue to sell, market and service Mizuno Bettinardi putters through June 2010 and Bettinardi Golf will begin to sell and market putters under the Bettinardi name beginning in the fall.

The U.S. Golf Manufacturers Anti-Counterfeiting Working Group, comprised of Acushnet Co., Callaway Golf, Cleveland/Srixon Golf, Nike Golf, Ping and TaylorMade Golf Co. reports that the Shanghai Changning District Court recently convicted two principal violators – Shi-Feng and Shi-Chun-Ping – for selling counterfeit golf products. These convictions were the culmination of an enforcement action conducted after complaints were filed by the Group with the Public Security Bureau.

Eaton Corp. reports that Warren Fondrie of Vass, N.C., pleaded guilty to 12 counts of selling counterfeit golf equipment, which included Golf Pride grips. Terms of his probation include paying restitution of more than $253,358 to his victims.
