CaddieNow Expands Into Hawaii
Local clubs and the Friends of Hawaii Charities sign popular service to enhance and expand caddie programs
Honolulu, HI – CaddieNow announced today it is signing new caddie partnership agreements in Hawaii. Included are Friends of Hawaii Charities, Inc., the host of the Sony Open, and local nonprofit groups that together will expand caddie services and programs on the Hawaiian Islands.
Friends of Hawaii Charities Inc., a 501 (c)(3) organization supporting local Hawaiian youth, women, children, and the impoverished, is excited to partner with CaddieNow to bring caddie opportunities to area youth and provide upgraded service to the Sony Open in Hawaii. Scheduled for January 6-12, 2020, CaddieNow will supply up to 100 caddies for the three Pro-Ams the week of the tournament.
Agreeing to a long-term partnership, CaddieNow, and Friends of Hawaii Charities, Inc. have committed to providing caddies through a year-long caddie program expansion at additional local clubs. The new relationships will support and positively impact the islands before, during, and after the Sony Open each year.
CaddieNow unveiled an additional Hawaii partnership today with the First Tee of Hawaii to help recruit and certify local youth. “We feel strongly about finding talent from local youth organizations and teaching them skills that have a positive, long-lasting impact on their lives,” said Dave Cavossa, CEO and Founder of CaddieNow. “The young adults are coming out of First Tee of Hawaii looking to stay close to the golf industry. Caddying provides a way for them to make money, stay engaged, and network with resort golfers,” Cavossa continued.
CaddieNow is currently hiring to accommodate its growing staffing and managerial needs in Hawaii. New applicants are encouraged to apply either online or by contacting the local youth organization for more information. The immediate need is personnel for the upcoming Sony Open. Caddies and golfers of all ages are welcome! To learn more, go to www.caddienow.com/sonyopen.
CaddieNow has hired Stephen Small as the Regional Operations Lead for Hawaii. Small will help in orientations, certifications, and recruiting of caddies on the islands. Small is working closely with local courses and supporting each club as they add a caddie program. “Our team is growing as our needs are growing, and Stephen’s addition to our team is a tremendous value. He is taking on all the many tasks needed to make caddie programs a success in Hawaii,” Cavossa said. “We plan on adding more positions in Hawaii to meet the growing caddie demand and support our new friends and partners. These are exciting times as the Caddie Renaissance is well underway.”
