CaddieNow Launching Hawaiian Courses
Ko Olina Golf Club and Waialae Country Club adopt new caddie programs
CaddieNow, committed to preserving and protecting the caddie tradition, has announced two new course partnerships adopting caddie services on the Hawaiian Islands. Since the expansion of CaddieNow’s partnership with Friends of Hawaii Charities, Inc., and First Tee of Hawaii, local courses are looking to enhance their membership benefits with the addition of caddie programs.
Ko Olina Golf Club is the first course on Oahu to launch a new caddie program. Greg Nichols, General Manager and Director of Golf, said, “Our resort prides itself on ensuring the ‘Aloha’ spirit resonates throughout our property, and more importantly, we desire for our golfers to leave with the most memorable experience. Caddies will be a tremendous addition to those memories. I’ve always believed in giving back to the game, and CaddieNow is doing just that here at Ko Olina. By allowing young caddies to experience the game and become a part of the memories that our golfers cherish is good for the golfer, good for the caddie and good for our club, so it’s a win-win-win.”
The host of The Sony Open in Hawaii and the 2019 Platinum Club of America award winner, Waialae Country Club, has also signed an agreement with CaddieNow. “We are very proud to be the host course for the upcoming Sony Open in Hawaii. None of this is possible without a superb staff and team. CaddieNow caddies are being recruited now for the Sony Open in Hawaii, and they will have a permanent home here at Waialae with loops beginning February 1. Our commitment to our members is just as important, and we believe caddies are an integral part of their experience,” said Kevin Carll, Head Golf Professional at Waialae Country Club. “We’re thankful CaddieNow has a team here on the islands to support our efforts and handle all operations caddie related. Their support helps us focus on our members,” Carll continued.
“Hawaii is known for its vibrant hospitality, and the exceptional service I have seen at both Waialae and Ko Olina Golf Club is extraordinary. We are happy to support both courses and help create a first-class caddie program. Caddies will be a perfect fit at these courses and help give their members ‘the most memorable walk in golf,” said Dave Cavossa, CEO and Founder of CaddieNow.
Each club will offer junior caddies and adult caddies with a variety of single, double or forecaddie options. Stephen Small, CaddieNow Regional Lead for Hawaii, is leading caddie recruitment, orientations, certifications, and operations.
