Carrying the Game: New App Launches Caddy Clubhouse’s Global Vision for Golf’s Most Trusted Role

June 16, 2026

Founded by three accomplished tour caddies, Caddy Clubhouse’s new platform connects golfers, clubs and caddies worldwide

(London, United Kingdom) For centuries, caddies have played a central role in shaping performance at every level and yet have never had centrally recognised set of standards. Caddy Clubhouse is aiming to bridge that gap and with its innovative new App, it is promising to standardise, certify and elevate the profession the world over.

Through accredited education pathways, professional certification programmes, career development opportunities and industry-wide standards, Caddy Clubhouse aims to become the organisation that defines and safeguards excellence in caddying globally.

Alongside this new vision, Caddy Clubhouse is launching a new end-to-end App that connects golfers, clubs and qualified caddies through a single digital platform. The launch of this new software forms part of a broader transformation for the brand, including a new identity, refreshed visuals and a renewed commitment to the global home of the profession.

Caddy Clubhouse’s new app is designed to modernise how golfers and caddies connect, bringing greater efficiency to the booking experience.

The system allows clubs, resorts, tournament organisers and individual golfers to book caddies directly while enabling caddies to create professional profiles highlighting their experience, abilities and coordinate with caddie masters directly.

Designed to support everything from recreational rounds and corporate golf days to competitive play, the platform manages bookings, payments, gratuities, availability and customer preferences in one place, creating a more seamless experience for both golfers and caddies.

Caddy Clubhouse has introduced a digital platform aimed at simplifying caddie management across golf’s professional and recreational landscape.

Founded by career caddies Jonathan Smart, Chris Rice and Adam Marrow, Caddy Clubhouse has been created to bring a new benchmark of excellence to caddying, drawing on decades of experience at the highest level of professional golf, including 26 professional victories between them.

Jonathan Smart has spent 17 years on tour, most notably caddying for Danny Willett during his Masters Tournament victory at Augusta National in 2016, alongside partnerships with players including Cameron Tringale, Rasmus Højgaard and Branden Grace.

“Caddies have always been fundamental to the game, but the profession has never had a recognised set of standards to support it,” said Smart.

“Through our careers, we’ve seen at first hand the difference elite caddies make, not only in performance terms, but in shaping the entire golf experience. This is about recognising that impact properly, and creating structure, standards and opportunity that reflect the level this profession is already operating at.”

Caddy Clubhouse aims to redefine professional caddying through accredited education, certification and global industry standards.

Chris Rice brings 19 years of experience at the highest level of the game, contributing to nine professional victories and working with players including Tyrrell Hatton, Harold Varner III, Emiliano Grillo and Pablo Larrazábal.

Adam Marrow has more than two decades’ experience across elite club and tour environments, including Ryder Cup and Olympic Games appearances and multiple DP World Tour wins alongside Thomas Pieters and Lucas Bjerregaard.

The calibre of golf venues already partnered with Caddy Clubhouse, including Centurion Club, Foxhills Club & Resort, and The San Roque Club, reflects growing demand for structured, professional caddie programmes. The organisation supports these clubs in developing and operating caddie services that enhance the experience for members, guests and visiting golfers.

The venture is supported by global golf business ION 54, a portfolio company of 54, and technology investor and development partner OWOW, supporting its ambition to scale a global standard for caddie development and accreditation.

Ed Edwards, Chief Executive Officer at 54, said, “Caddy Clubhouse represents a bold step forward in our ambition to positively reshape the global caddie industry. By elevating both the standard and accessibility of caddie services, the platform brings new energy and professionalism to a critical part of the golf experience.

“Leveraging our global footprint and expertise, we are helping bring this vision to life. The launch of the Caddy Clubhouse app marks a pivotal moment – empowering golfers to book caddies on demand, enhancing performance and experience on the course, ultimately igniting a new era of growth and opportunity within the caddie ecosystem.”

Robin Dohmen, Co-CEO and Founder of OWOW, added: “What impressed us most was the purpose behind the platform. Caddy Clubhouse recognises the value caddies bring to golf and is building the tools, opportunities and connections needed to help the profession thrive. The new platform is designed to simplify the booking experience while creating greater visibility and opportunity for caddies around the world. We’re proud to help bring that vision to life.”

At the heart of Caddy Clubhouse is a simple belief: when caddies are supported, recognised and empowered, the entire game benefits. Through education, technology, accreditation and community, Caddy Clubhouse is building a future where those who carry the game receive the recognition, opportunities and support they have earned.
