LAKE MARY, FL – Caliber Golf, creator of the unique carbon fiber hockey style putting grip/shaft, will be one of the Product Presentation sponsors at the ING Spring Forum at the Valley Forge Casino Resort May 30-June 2.
The not-for-profit, 33-year-old International Network of Golf will conduct this gathering of golf media and business executives in King Of Prussia, PA. Anyone in the golf industry or media is invited to attend this one-of-a-kind, media-focused event.
The ING Spring Forum format is a reimagined, more intimate structure than previous ING Conferences, but the purpose remains the same: Networking, product introduction, information sharing, education, golf and general memory making.
Caliber Golf is the first carbon fiber hockey shaft putting grip/shaft that conforms to the rules of golf. Hold it how you like, this golf innovation gives players more control on the green. The company has partnered with industry leaders to offer the best putter heads, including Bettinardi Golf, Sub-70 Golf and others.
With their dad’s enthusiasm for both Wisconsin seasons, Chip and Tim Wright carried the torch of winters on the ice and summers on the golf course. Inspiration finally struck Tim in 2018 to apply the athletic feel of a hockey grip to the toughest part of the course – the greens. His prototype brought him success on the course. With Chip’s help, together they developed, refined and created the first-ever fully integrated hockey style putting grip and shaft that conforms to the rules of golf.
Wrote Gary Van Sickle of SI.COM: “You’re going to look at the Caliber Golf putter and think it’s a gimmick. Well, not if you’re Happy Gilmore. The Caliber Golf model features a traditional putter head at the end of a hockey-stick shaft—sort of like Happy’s model in the movie that he used to tap-tap-tap-a-roonie. However, the Caliber Golf hockey-stick putter is no gimmick. It may be a better way to putt for some. This putter also has a possible superpower: It could/should cure the dreaded putting ailment grown men are afraid so say out loud—the yips.”
The ING Spring Forum will include two golf tournaments at Raven’s Claw Golf Club. One of the competitions will be the annual Durland Cup Scramble. Named after longtime ING Board Member and golf committee chair Larry Durland, the Durland Cup will be conducted on Thursday with a 1:30 pm shotgun start, followed by the awards dinner at the Raven’s Claw clubhouse. The other tournament will be played as a Stableford Points Game.
Highlighting the educational aspects of the ING Spring Forum will be a marketing/social media seminar conducted by longtime ING member and marketing executive Patricia (Tiss) Dahan. She has spent nearly two decades developing sales and marketing strategies and plans, and leading teams in four different industries. Much of that time was spent with TaylorMade-adidas Golf as Vice President, Global Apparel. Five months ago she became CEO of English Riding Supply, Inc. in Pennsylvania. She is also certified in professional and transitional coaching.
ING Spring Forum attendance will include approximately two dozen media members and six sponsoring companies who will have the opportunity to conduct a 20-minute exclusive presentation to the entire audience. These sponsors will have industry segment exclusivity, and will also have the opportunity to display product at other times during the Spring Forum.
Registration fee is as little as $150, and sponsorship fees start at $695.
