Carey Lohrenz featured at Golf Industry Show Closing Celebration
Lohrenz made history as first female F-14 Tomcat fighter pilot
Lawrence, Kan. – Carey Lohrenz, the first female F-14 Tomcat Fighter Pilot in the U.S. Navy, will motivate and engage the audience at the Closing Celebration, Jan. 30, the final day of the 2020 Golf Industry Show in Orlando. The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) annually hosts the industry’s largest golf course management trade show.

Lohrenz’s presentation be the finale of the week of educational, exhibitor and networking opportunities available Jan. 25-30 at the GIS, which includes the GCSAA Golf Championships, the GCSAA Education Conference and the industry trade show. The GIS will offer a dynamic, progressive week of unparalleled networking opportunities and hands-on access to golf course and facility management solutions for golf industry professionals. GCSAA will also host marquee events to recognize its annual award winners, including Gary Player, 2020 recipient of the Old Tom Morris Award.
Having flown missions worldwide as a combat-mission-ready United States Navy pilot, Lohrenz is used to working in fast moving, dynamic environments, where inconsistent execution can generate catastrophic results. In her motivating and engaging keynote presentations, Carey shares her fascinating experiences as a pioneer in military aviation. She is also the author of “Fearless Leadership: Lessons from the Flight Deck.”
In conjunction with Lohrenz’s appearance, GCSAA will honor GIS attendees and their family members who have served in the military during the Closing Celebration. Names can be submitted for recognition until Jan. 17 at www.golfindustryshow.com/heroes.
