Limited Spots Remain for 12th Annual World Invitational Father & Daughter Golf Tournament
Carr Golf’s Popular Event Played on Southwest Ireland’s Waterville Golf Links
Carr Golf – Ireland, England and Scotland’s premier provider of unforgettable golf vacations – announces a limited number of exclusive spots remain open for its 12th annual World Invitational Father & Daughter Tournament held July 23 – 26 on County Kerry’s world-class Waterville Golf Links.
This celebration on one of the world’s finest seaside courses has become a mainstay on Carr Golf’s yearly schedule of prestigious events. Every team entry includes three rounds of golf at Waterville, deluxe nightly accommodations, welcome reception, full Irish breakfasts each morning, dinners each evening, tournament photos and gifts, shuttle transportation throughout and an awards ceremony.
New this year, the tournament will be professionally scored by VPAR, the digital platform providing real-time event scoring for players.
Additionally, participants will now have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fly in a luxury helicopter over the stunning island landscape of Skellig Michael, a renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site that was featured in the Star Wars movie “The Force Awakens.”
Teryn Schaefer – television host of several PGA TOUR shows including The Takeaway, Trending on TOUR and tournament preview shows – will be taking part in the event for the second year in a row
“Following our unforgettable trip to southwest Ireland to compete in last year’s Father and Daughter Tournament, my dad and I are so excited to return again this year,” says Schaefer. “It’s such an incredible opportunity for us to make new friends from around the world and play together on one of the truly special courses in the game.”
Last year, Carr Golf hosted 34 teams hailing from the U.S., Canada, Bermuda and Ireland. Playing out of New Jersey’s Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club, Tim and Brittany Baxter won the 36-hole net tournament in the “Better Ball Stableford” format. Olivia and Bill McCloy from Ohio’s Maketewah Country Club won the gross division. To view photos from 2018, click here.
Prizes awarded are not limited to on-course play. Hugh and Lydia Barit from Bermuda’s Mid Ocean Club won last year’s award for “Best Dressed,” and Ms. Barit was also honored for “Best Social Media Posts.”
