KINGSPORT, Tenn. – Cattails at MeadowView and Visit Kingsport will give back to the community through the upcoming Children’s Miracle Network Play Yellow Scramble, which takes place on Aug. 9 at one of the region’s top golf courses.
Benefiting Niswonger Children’s Hospital, which is affiliated with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the goal of Cattails, Marriott Golf, and Visit Kingsport is to raise $10,000.
“We really just wanted to do something ins support of the Children’s Miracle Network and Niswonger Children’s Hospital,” said MeadowView Conference Resort and Convention General Manager Ramona Jackson. “They do such phenomenal work for kids in this region, and we felt like a golf tournament could raise some much-appreciated funds.
“We know there are a lot of people in the area who not only love golf but are passionate about helping kids. And we are so very fortunate to have a facility like Niswonger Children’s Hospital in this region, which does so much for so many young people. We’re really looking forward to hosting this tournament, which will be held on an annual basis going forward.”
The field will consist of the first 30 four-person teams to enter. Not only will players be supporting youngsters and teenagers in the region treated at Niswonger Children’s Hospital in Johnson City, but the day will also feature plenty of fun and some incredible cash and other prizes awarded throughout the tournament.
Lunch will be provided at the conclusion of play. The winning foursome will pick up some great swag, including the official Play Yellow Children’s Miracle Network polo shirts. The team will also have their names displayed on the tournament trophy, which will be displayed in the MeadowView Conference Resort and Convention Center’s lobby.
Every year more than 10 million kids in North America enter hospitals like Niswonger, and these hospitals rely on community donations and support. The donations raised in the Play Yellow Scramble will stay local to fund life-saving pediatric medical equipment and helping your friends and neighbors.
Don’t miss out on this spectacular event hosted by Cattails, Marriott Golf and Visit Kingsport. The event will begin at 9 a.m. on Aug 9 with a shotgun start. The cost to enter is $125 per person or $500 for a four-person team. A four-person team and hole sponsorship are available for $625. Other sponsorship opportunities include Hole Sponsorships (16 available) and Putting Green and Golf Cart Sponsorships (one each is available).
We hope you will consider playing in the Play Yellow Scramble and help Cattails and Niswonger Children’s Hospital reach their fundraising goal. To register or purchase a sponsorship, please visit the Cattails Golf Shop, email cattailsgolf@gmail.com, or call 423-578-6622.
