EVANS, Ga. – Champions Retreat, a revered private golf club located just outside of Augusta, Ga. – and the only club in the world featuring three individually designed courses by Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus – announces the completion of extensive greens resurfacing of all putting greens and collars with Tif-Eagle bermudagrass.
As a commitment to excellence, significant research was conducted to ultimately select TifEagle as its proven to be the premier putting surface for courses in the South, delivering the speed and consistency expected by members, guests and competitors.
The project began just after Champions Retreat hosted the first two rounds of the second Augusta National Women’s Amateur in April 2021 and concluded at the beginning of the Fall season of 2021.

In addition to the greens renovation, Champions Retreat has conducted multiple enhancements to the golf experience in previous years, including new irrigation, drainage, bunker work and extensive landscaping.
