Atlantic City’s largest sporting event and one of the longest-running events on the LPGA Tour schedule, the ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern is returning for its 38th year in 2026. ShopRite is reinforcing its commitment to women’s golf with new and continued event initiatives to support women athletes with the costs often associated with competing on the game’s biggest stage and chasing their dreams on the LPGA Tour.
The 2026 tournament will again feature Team ShopRite, created last year to support four deserving golfers as they pursue their LPGA Tour dreams – combining a love of the game with ShopRite’s commitment to giving back.
The four players who are a part of Team ShopRite in 2026 include LPGA Tour winners Cheyenne Knight and Azahara Muñoz and Epson Tour professionals Gianna Clemente and Rachel Kuehn. These athletes reaffirm ShopRite’s commitment to enhancing and providing meaningful impact to both mothers on the LPGA Tour as well as budding stars who are kickstarting their careers.
ShopRite continues its decades-long tradition of supporting women’s golf and giving back to community-based organizations through the ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern. Since 1992, ShopRite has donated more than $45 million to area hospitals, food banks, education and youth programs and other community champions through its work with the LPGA. At the 2025 edition of the championship, dozens of nonprofits received donations totaling more than $1.8 million during a luncheon hosted by Wakefern and ShopRite.
The ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern has been a launch pad for several of the game’s preeminent players to kick start their LPGA Tour careers, including Paula Creamer, Brooke Henderson, and Lexi Thompson. The tournament annually boasts one of the strongest fields on the LPGA Tour and has featured many of the game’s greatest players as past champions, including Juli Inkster, Betsy King, Dottie Pepper, Seri Pak, Annika Sorenstam, Cristie Kerr, Stacy Lewis, Karrie Webb, Henderson, and Thompson.
