About Charlie Mechem
· Charles Mechem began his career as a lawyer with Cincinnati’s esteemed law firm, Taft Stettinius & Hollister.
· He later became a business executive, leading the Taft Broadcasting Company and its empire, which included a range of media outlets, Hanna-Barbera, Kings Island and Canada’s Wonderland Amusement Parks.
· He served as commissioner of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA).
· Charlie Mechem acted as a longtime consultant and advisor to both Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus.
· Despite his impressive professional accomplishments, Mechem considers himself a small-town boy at heart, having been born in Nelsonville, Ohio, in the northwestern corner of Athens County.
· He often reflects on the many wonderful friends he has made throughout his dynamic career.
