SAN DIEGO, CA. – Charlie Mechem, former Commissioner of the LPGA, author, and a top advisor to golf legends Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, has selected Read the Greens, GOLF Media to promote the launch of his third book, Arnie and Jack.
Read the Greens’ Director of Media Relations, Vanessa Price, and Director of Communications, Tracy Nackel, will create and implement a comprehensive public relations campaign to launch the new book which will be available in mid-April.

Mechem’s third book is about his life and times with two of the most iconic and memorable golfers of all time: Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. In Arnie and Jack – Stories of My Long Friendship with Two Remarkable Men, Charlie takes golf fans behind the scenes, detailing with energy and wit — and sometimes solemnity — why these great icons of the course excelled at both work and play.

Charles Mechem was a lawyer with Cincinnati’s prestigious law firm Taft Stettinius & Hollister, a business executive who headed the Taft Broadcasting empire of media outlets, Hanna-Barbera, and amusement parks, and then the commissioner of the Ladies Professional Golf Association. He was a longtime consultant and advisor to Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. But Charlie is not all business.
