The LPGA Tour’s Major Season Gets Underway with The Chevron Championship from Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston this Weekend

Golf Central Surrounds Chevron Championship with Pre- and Post-Round Coverage and Analysis Throughout the Weekend

PGA TOUR’s Annual Team Event, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, Live on Golf Channel Thursday-Friday (3-6 p.m. ET) and Saturday-Sunday (1-3 p.m. ET)

STAMFORD, Conn. – The LPGA Tour’s first major of the season, The Chevron Championship, and the PGA TOUR’s Zurich Classic of New Orleans headline live tournament coverage on Golf Channel this week. 

This week’s coverage on Golf Channel also features the PGA TOUR Champions’ Mitsubishi Electric Classic, the DP World Tour’s Volvo China Open, the Ladies European Tour’s Investec South African Women’s Open, the PGA of America’s PGA Professional Championship, and the Grass Clippings Open.

LPGA TOUR: THE CHEVRON CHAMPIONSHIP

The Chevron Championship – the first of the LPGA Tour’s five major championships – takes center stage this week from Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas, for the first time as Japan’s Mao Saigo looks to defend her 2025 title among a strong field of contenders that also includes World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul and No. 2 Nelly Korda. 

Golf Channel will present live coverage on Thursday and Friday (11 a.m.–3 p.m. ET / 6-8 p.m. ET) and on Saturday (3-6 p.m. ET).

PGA TOUR: ZURICH CLASSIC OF NEW ORLEANS

The PGA TOUR returns to TPC Louisiana in Avondale for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, the TOUR’s annual team event featuring a field of 80 two-man teams. The event utilizes an alternating-round four-ball (first and third rounds) and foursomes (second and final) format.

Ben Griffin and Andrew Novak return to defend their 2025 title with other notable duos including Brooks Koepka and Shane Lowry, last week’s RBC Heritage winner Matt Fitzpatrick and his brother Alex Fitzpatrick, and more in the field.

DP WORLD TOUR: VOLVO CHINA OPEN

The DP World Tour resumes this week with the Volvo China Open from Shanghai Enhance Anting Golf Club in Shanghai, China.

Golf Channel presents live overnight coverage from 12:30-5:30 a.m. ET on Thursday and Friday and from 12:30-5 a.m. ET on Saturday. Final round coverage on Golf Channel takes place from 12-5 a.m. ET on Sunday. 

PGA OF AMERICA: PGA PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The PGA Professional Championship is the national championship for golf club professionals, taking place this week from Bandon Dunes & Pacific Dunes in Bandon, Ore. 

Golf Channel’s coverage of the event begins this Sunday from 7-10 p.m. ET and continues at the same time each day through next Tuesday, April 28, with the final round airing live on Golf Channel on Wednesday, April 29 from 6-9 p.m. ET.

Golf Channel presents tournament coverage on Sunday from 8-10:30 a.m. ET.

GRASS LEAGUE: GRASS CLIPPINGS OPEN

Golf Channel presents live coverage of the Grass League’s Grass Clippings Open this Saturday from 9 p.m.-12 a.m. ET from Grass Clippings Rolling Hills in Tempe, Ariz., the home of the Grass League.

The Grass Clippings Open features 18 holes of lighted par 3 golf nestled in the scenic Papago buttes. The Grass League, which includes 11 franchises each fielding six two-person teams, is a two-person scramble with each golfer teeing off and selecting the best shot of their pairing, continuing until the ball is holed.
