Clippd Programs Dominate September

October 8, 2026

The fall season is barely a month old and college programs using Clippd are already making a habit of lifting trophies. September alone has seen Clippd win over 50 team titles (in fields of three or more teams) and players of those teams added more than 60 individual titles.

Those team titles were shared by over 40 different programs at every level of the college game.

Here’s the stories behind those wins. It’s been a great month!

Big statements in DI

More than half of the titles won in September came from DI programs. The University of South Carolina men’s team won the JT Poston Invitational by five shots after a classy -14 team score in round three. Over in Texas, the University of Oklahoma women won The Bruzzy by a whopping 10 shots with a team score of -33 thanks in part to Meg Tilma’s -10 which saw here sit atop the leaderboard. Meanwhile, Virginia Tech’s women won the Nittany Lion Invitational at Penn State GC with Valentine Delon taking the individual title at -13.

The Fold of Honor Collegiate is one of college golf’s biggest events with the tournament getting 340,000 views on the Scoreboard website! This year saw Georgia Tech winning the men’s tournament thanks to a brilliant first round, -12 team score. The Yellow Jackets very own Max Emberson, a freshman, finished as medalist with a score of -8, two clear of the runner up.

Oklahoma State men’s came out on top at the Sahalee Players Championship. The 1,000+ air miles of travel didn’t seem to have an affect on the payers as they ran away with the title by 20 shots. Later in the month saw more success for the Cowboys as John Wild came out on top in Denver at the Les Fowler Colorado Individual Invitational.

Special mention for wins by:

Santa Clara men’s – Bombs Darts Birds Collegiate
UT Martin men’s – Grover Page Classic
Troy men’s – Argent Financial Classic

BYU women’s – 2026 Red Raider Invitational
Butler women’s – 2026 NKU Fall Invitational
Ball State women’s – Britanny Kelly Classic
Utah Valley women’s – Wolverine Invitational
Montana State women’s – Yellowstone Intercollegiate
Austin Peay women’s – The Velvet Classic
Merrimack women’s – Hill YEAH!
Sacred Heart women’s – SHU Women’s Fall Classic

Winning more than once

One win in a season would be considered great for many programs. However, a number of Clippd teams weren’t satisfied with the one and turned winning into a habit last month.

Central Michigan’s women led the way with back-to-back titles to start their campaign at the A-Ga_Ming Invitational in Michigan and the Rocket Classic in Ohio. The Chippewas weren’t the only Clippd program to start the season hotly, UNLV women’s team came away victorious at both the Branch Law Firm/McGuire Invitational and the Ben Connell Ram Classic. The latter by a dominant 15 shots ahead of 2nd place.

In Colorado at Greeley CC, St Thomas (MN) won the 2026 UNC Bear Brawl by 16 shots with Kathryn VanArragon making it a double for the Tommies by securing the individual title. Kathryn wasn’t finished there though, she followed up her win in Colorado with a victory at the Redbird Invitational and sharing the top spot at the Diane Thomason Invitational. One month, three tournaments, three wins – not bad!

Also winning multiple titles was Miami’s Scarlett Schremmer who won both the Boilermaker Classic in Indiana and the Golfweek Red Sky Classic at Red Sky Ranch and CC with scores of -6 and -17 respectively.

Clean sweeps across the divisions

In DII, McKendree came out on top at the UIndy Invitational at Broadmoor. The Bearcats played fine golf around Broadmoor CC to secure the top spot. A fine -12 from sophomore, Simon Meiby, led the way for the the team finish on -27, two ahead of the runners up.

DIII saw DePauw share medallist honors in the 36-team strong Midwest Region Classic. The Tigers put together a sensational -6 round 2 to claw back the six-shot deficit at Brighton Dale Links. Also securing wins was Penn State Altoona at the Northeast Elite, Wisconsin-Stout men’s at Culver’s Edgewood University Fall Invitational, St Lawrence men’s at the St Lawrence University Fall Invite , and Otterbein women’s at the OAC Preview.

Finally in DIII, the University of Redlands completes a double at the PLU Invitational. In the team event, the Bulldogs won with a team score of +47 whilst senior Savanah Christenson took home the individual title with a solid score of +2 to win by six shots.

The standout story of the month belongs to NAIA’s Rocky Mountain College. The Battlin’ Bears’ men’s and women’s teams both won their respective Comets Frontier Invitational (men’s / women’s) at Wildflower GC in Minnesota. A week later, both teams travelled to Montana for the Beartooth Invitational (men’s / women’s) where they once again reigned victorious.

Rocky Mountain College weren’t the only NAIA program to win on both sides. Mount Mercy University saw both their Men’s and Women’s programs win the Mustang Fall Invite (men’s / women’s) whilst the University of Pikeville did the same at the Orange and Black Collegiate (men’s /women’s).

Friends University men’s rounded out the NAIA titles in September with a win at the Crestview Fall Invite at Crestview CC, Kansas. The Falcons blowing the competition out the water with a 22 shot victory.

Looking ahead to October

With conference previews and the busiest stretch of the fall schedule still to come, October promises plenty more to shout about. We’ll be back next month with the latest round of results from teams using Clippd.

Congratulations to every player, coach and program who won in September. If your team had a result you’d like us to feature, let us know.
