FRISCO, Texas — Club Pelican Bay, a private club located in Naples, Florida, today announced PGA of America Golf Professional Michael Steele as the new Director of Golf. ExecuSearch, powered by the PGA of America, a premium executive placement service for the golf industry, assisted with the search and placement.
Club Pelican Bay is home to 27-holes of championship golf, a state of the art spa & fitness center, and a 50,000 square foot clubhouse. In his new role, Steele is responsible for management of all golf operations, including tournaments, instructional programming, maintenance, merchandising and member services.
A PGA Member since 2007, Steele most recently served as the Director of Golf at PGA National Resort, overseeing an operation that supports more than 1,100 golf members and leading a team of over 100 associates. Prior to that role, he gained valuable experience as the Head PGA Professional at Champion Hills Club in Hendersonville, N.C., from 2012-2020, and Director of Golf at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove in Arden, N.C., from 2020-2025.
