Oakmont, PA – Today, Club Prophet announces that it has again completed its full Level-1 PCI Compliance certification, making it the only golf management software to be certified for both PCI-DSS and PA-DSS compliance. Club Prophet undergoes this process annually to comply with all industry best practices and is listed on the Payment Card Industry Data security website.

Today more than ever, credit cards are the most popular form of payment with overall transactions and transaction volume increasing over 40% in a post-COVID world. With this increased usage, having a secure vendor is critical. Golf courses are businesses that use credit cards for transactions; therefore, they are required to keep their local environment secured using PCI-Compliance Standards. In order for your network to be PCI-Compliant, you must use a PA-DSS validated payment application. The Club Prophet platform helps facilities comply with both sets of guidelines. What this means to our customers and future customers is that Club Prophet is doing its due diligence so that courses’ credit card data is being kept safe in a secure environment to the level of the PCI Board’s strictest level of controls.
If a course is not using a PA-DSS Validated Payment Application in a PCI-DSS Validated environment, then they are not PCI-Compliant. If a golf course is not PCI-Compliant and there is a breach of credit card data, the golf course (i.e. the merchant) is liable for all fraudulent charges in addition to fines/penalties and other charges by the card associations and subject to immediate termination of their ability to accept credit cards.
