Introducing Clubhouse AI, a Smart Assistant That Helps You Run Your Golf Course Business

September 16, 2026

New AI-powered module connects operational data across the tee sheet, point of sale and other critical systems to help golf course teams work smarter and act faster

PHOENIX, Ariz. –  The industry’s golf course operator co-op, 1 Golf introduces Clubhouse AI, an integrated artificial intelligence module designed specifically for golf course operations.

Unlike standalone AI tools that depend on users manually entering information, Clubhouse AI works with a golf course’s live operational data. It brings together information from the tee sheet, point-of-sale system, customer activity, inventory, accounting and other connected areas of the business, giving operators a faster and easier way to understand what is happening across the property.

Golf course teams can ask operational questions in plain English and receive answers grounded in their own business data. Clubhouse AI is also being designed to help turn an operator’s instructions and business objectives into automated tasks.

“Golf course operators already have an enormous amount of valuable data, but much of it is spread across a variety of different systems and reports,” said Dale Merritt, CEO of 1 Golf. “Clubhouse AI brings that information together so operators can spend less time searching for answers and more time making decisions and taking action.”

How Clubhouse AI Helps Operators

Clubhouse AI is a golf course operator-scoped assistant that leverages an AI stack that is most conducive to the needs of golf course operators.  It can answer operational questions using your live business data, produce reports and analysis, prepare marketing campaigns, and safely perform selected actions across the 1 Golf operating system. It currently supports more than 100 read-only tools and a large set of write tools that cover a wide range of tasks.

Because Clubhouse AI is integrated into the broader 1 Golf operating system, it can work alongside the platform’s tee sheet, point of sale, booking engine, CRM, marketing, inventory and other course-management modules.

Clubhouse AI reflects 1 Golf’s larger mission: to give golf course operators modern technology that connects the entire operation while helping courses strengthen their direct relationships with golfers.

Here are only a few examples to give you an idea of what you can do with Clubhouse AI:

Tee Sheet Data

  • Ask: Which days and times are producing the most and least tee-time revenue, and where do we have the greatest opportunity to improve utilization?
  • Ask: Which available tee-times should we promote this week based on current bookings and historical demand?
  • Ask: Which membership plans should we be promoting more and why?
  • Ask: How many reservations were cancelled inside the cancellation window last month?
  • Request: Block tee times tomorrow between 6am and 11am and send an email to existing customers already booked telling them we had a tree fall into the fairway after the storm last night. We need to have them call in and reschedule.

Customer Growth and Retention

  • Ask: Who were our top 10 highest-spending customers last year?
  • Ask: Which customers have not returned within their normal visit cycle and may be at risk of lapsing?
  • Ask: Which former members have lapsed, and which membership will expire soon?
  • Ask: Which customers have upcoming birthdays this week?
  • Ask: Where are potential duplicate customer records reducing the accuracy of our CRM and marketing?
  • Request: Build a marketing segment called ‘Best Customers’ and assign it to all customers who spent at least $5,000 last year.

Food Beverage and Point of Sale Performance

  • Ask: What are our total sales, average order value, payment mix, and refund or void activity compared with the previous period?
  • Ask: Which locations, departments, categories, products, employees, days, and times generate the most and least revenue?
  • Ask: Which products have strong sales but weak margins, and which products should receive more promotion or attention?
  • Ask: Which employees lead in sales, average order value, and tips, and where are coaching opportunities visible?
  • Ask: How did restaurant and bar staffing compare with sales for the selected day or period?
  • Ask: Which online POS or prepayment failures need investigation, and what patterns appear across the failed transactions?

Inventory Purchasing and Margin Control

  • Ask: Which products out high sales, and out of stock?
  • Ask: Which products have experienced significant cost increases this year?
  • Ask: What is our current inventory valuation, and how has it changed from the selected historical date?
  • Ask: Which inventory changes came from sales, adjustments, receipts, transfers, returns, or refunds?
  • Ask: What inventory should we expect to need for an upcoming outing or group event based on similar historical events?
  • Request: Create a draft purchase order for low-stock items or a selected list of products.
  • Request: Create a purchase order for XXXX and ship it off to the vendor
  • Request: After I approve the purchase order, email the existing order to the vendor.

Labor Productivity and Daily Operations

  • Ask: How do labor hours compare with revenue by day, department, or location?
  • Ask: Using the supplied wage information, what is our labor-cost ratio and where is it above target?
  • Ask: Where are staffing levels misaligned with sales volume or customer demand?
  • Ask: Which registers remain open, and what cash over or short patterns appear across recent closeouts?
  • Ask: Which server shift checkouts or closeouts require management review?
  • Request: Create a daily tee-sheet note telling staff to make sure they collect past due amounts if possible from golfers checking in.

Financial Visibility and Risk

  • Ask: Which products are unmapped to a revenue class?
  • Ask: What general-ledger entries did a selected order generate, and which posting rules were used?
  • Ask: What are our current gift-card liabilities as of right now?
  • Ask: Give me a list of customers who are past due more than 45 days.
  • Ask: What tax liability was generated by rate, location, and reporting period?
  • Request: Produce a trial balance, profit and loss statement, balance sheet, account activity report, or reconciliation information for the selected period.
