ClubCorp’s Management and Advisory Services Division Extends Agreement with Historic Chicago Club
DALLAS – ClubLife Management – the full-service management division sponsored by ClubCorp – announces that its engagement at Midlothian Country Club has been extended.
“The relationship between ClubCorp / ClubLife Management and Midlothian Country Club has been a win-win on all fronts,” said Tom Bennison, ClubCorp’s Chief Development Officer. “The ClubLife Management team looks forward to delivering new and enhanced experiences to members, and supporting the Club and its Board of Directors as they head into an exciting new era on the heels of their renovation project.”
“We’re delighted to extend our partnership with ClubCorp / ClubLife Management,” said Tom Ahern, General Manager of Midlothian Country Club. “Since the partnership began in 2019, we’ve seen significant growth across all key segments of our business. The combination of the leadership of our Board President, Matt Barry, the on-site Management Team and ClubLife’s support has proven to be a winning formula at Midlothian. We’re excited to extend this relationship as we head into another exciting year of growth here at Midlothian.”
In late 2021, Midlothian announced a multimillion-dollar course renovation that is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2022. The project, which is being led by Raymond Hearn Golf Designs, includes a complete overhaul of the current bunker complexes, widened fairways and fairway expansions around select greens, along with added distance to the course’s Championship Tees. In addition to the restoration of the golf course, Midlothian is planning to begin construction on a comprehensive redesign and modernization of its dining areas and outdoor patio spaces in the second quarter of 2022.
Long regarded as one of the iconic golf destinations in the Chicago area, Midlothian enjoys a distinguished golf history that includes serving as host course of the 1914 US Open, the old Western Open, Western Amateur and more. Recently, it was announced that the Club will host the 2023 Western Junior Amateur Championship.
