The donation will support a scholarship and education efforts for professionals in the golf course management industry
Lawrence, Kan. – ClubProcure, a service provider in the club industry (formerly known as VGM Club), has donated $25,000 to support the GCSAA Foundation’s mission by establishing a chapter programming grant initiative that launched this year.
“Support from generous donors like ClubProcure makes it possible for GCSAA to provide educational opportunities for its members and ensure that each member is equipped with the professional tools needed to thrive in their respective role,” GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans said.
A portion of ClubProcure’s donation will support the new Larry Powell Scholarship, which was awarded to the inaugural recipient recently. Additionally, thanks to the generous support from ClubProcure, the GCSAA Foundation is offering one-time chapter grants for qualified member education events held in 2023.
GCSAA-affiliated chapters may apply for a grant of up to $1,000 to help fund educational events, including speaker fees, event space rental, meeting logistics, food and beverage and related travel. The Educational Grant Program application opens to all GCSAA-affiliated chapters on June 1 and closes on June 30, 2023.
“The team at ClubProcure is grateful for the opportunity to partner with GCSAA to further support the turfgrass management industry through scholarships, chapter grants and more,” said Mike Woltz, ClubProcure VP Business Development Agronomy. “We are excited to be a part of enriching the game of golf for future generations and helping the GCSAA members achieve their professional goals.”
