Colorado Golf Association and Greenlight Advisors Announce Partnership to Expand Golf Business Intelligence

October 14, 2026

Annual initiative begins with complimentary participation in the 2026 U.S. Golf Study for eligible Colorado public golf facilities

DENVER, Colo. – The Colorado Golf Association (CGA) and Greenlight Advisors (GLA), creator of GolfClubBenchmarks.com (GCB), today announced a strategic partnership to help Colorado golf operators use confidential benchmarking and business intelligence to improve financial, operational, capital-planning and player experience decisions.

The organizations intend to develop an ongoing annual initiative that builds a stronger Colorado benchmarking peer group, tracks performance over time and brings operators together to discuss findings at the CGA Public Operators Annual Meeting.

To launch the initiative, CGA-affiliated municipal, public daily fee and resort golf facilities are invited to participate in the 2026 U.S. Golf Study on a complimentary basis. Registration closes October 31, 2026.

“Colorado has an outstanding community of public golf operators, and we see this partnership as an opportunity to create something that extends well beyond a single study,” said Ed Mate, Chief Executive Officer of the Colorado Golf Association. “Our goal is to make benchmarking an annual resource for Colorado golf course operators, with a stronger peer group, meaningful year-over-year insights and opportunities to review the findings together. The greater the participation, the more valuable that intelligence becomes for every facility involved.”

Building a Stronger Colorado Peer Group

More than 30 Colorado golf courses are already represented in the GCB benchmarking platform, including Denver Golf, CGA’s CommonGround Golf Course and South Suburban Park and Recreation District golf courses. Expanded participation will help operators compare performance with facilities facing similar opportunities and challenges.

“This partnership will help Colorado golf leaders turn their data into practical decisions,” said Mike Suglich, CPA, Founder and CEO of Greenlight Advisors. “By expanding participation and tracking performance consistently over time, we can help operators identify opportunities to improve financial results, strengthen operations and plan for capital investments.”

Complimentary Participation and Performance Insights

Eligible participating facilities will receive the following resources through the CGA partnership:

  • Participation in the 2026 U.S. Golf Study and the national industry benchmark report
  • A personalized Best-in-Class Report Card™
  • GolfClubBenchmarks.com Essentials Membership
  • Executive dashboards and performance insights
  • Year-over-year financial comparisons where historical data is available
  • Confidential benchmarking against comparable golf facilities

The study evaluates four performance pillars: Financial Performance, Operational Performance, Capital Asset Stewardship, and Player Experience & Engagement. These resources help facility leaders assess performance, identify improvement opportunities and support informed business decisions.

CGA Public Operators Annual Meeting

Greenlight Advisors will present benchmarking insights and an update on the 2026 U.S. Golf Study at the CGA Public Operators Annual Meeting on October 21, 2026. The session will give operators an opportunity to discuss performance trends and how business intelligence can support their facilities. The organizations envision future annual meetings as a forum for reviewing study findings and year-over-year trends.

Confidentiality

Individual facility information submitted to the study is treated as confidential. Industry benchmark reports use aggregated, anonymized results so operators can benefit from peer comparisons without identifying individual facilities.

How to Participate

Eligible CGA-affiliated facilities should register by October 31, 2026, at signup.golfclubbenchmarks.com and enter CGA in the Discount Code field to activate complimentary participation. Registration and submission of the required facility data are necessary to participate; registrants should coordinate data submission timing with Greenlight Advisors.

Most facilities complete the data template in approximately one to two hours. CGA and Greenlight Advisors encourage Colorado public golf operators to join the study and help build a stronger statewide and national benchmarking resource.
