Combine Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy’s Swings Helps Average Golfers Gain Distance
Denver, CO – GOLFTEC, the world leader in golf improvement and club fitting, shares a video breaking down key elements of Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy’s swings, featuring Golf Digest Best Young Teacher in America and GOLFTEC’s Director of Teaching Quality, Patrick Nuber. In the video, Nuber illustrates how these Pros generate so much power with their drivers, and how the average golfer can learn from their swings.
Nuber explains how, in DJ’s backswing, he has a dramatic change in knee flex to help increase his hip and shoulder turn, while McIlroy produces a massive amount of power after he hits the ball by straightening his knees as much as he can and bending himself backward.
“Both of these moves separately will create a great amount of power and help increase distance off of the tee,” says Nuber. “But combining them will generate the kind of speed and power you’ve been missing.”
Patrick Nuber is the Director of Teaching Quality for GOLFTEC in Denver, Colorado. He has not only been named to the Golf Digest 2021 Best Young Teachers In America list, but was also named to the 2019 Best Teachers in Colorado list and is a past winner of the Colorado PGA Teacher of the Year award.
