Cordillera Ranch Unveils Its Renovated Fitness Center
Reconfiguration, new program offerings and equipment choices among highlights of update
Cordillera Ranch – the Hill Country’s premier luxury golf community – unveils its renovated Fitness Center at The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch, complete with a reconfiguration of the facility, new program offerings and updated exercise equipment.
The fitness center, which opened in 2009 and boasts stunning views of the club’s Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, is now configured to promote functionality, safety and time efficiency. The renovated fitness center offers Precor treadmills, Adaptive Motion Trainers, ellipticals and bikes, along with rowers, a Power Plate vibration trainer and the Precor Queenax bodyweight training system.
The center also features a free weight area with multiple benches and mirrored walls, dumbbell racks, an arc stretch trainer, an InBody body compression analyzer and additional wall-mounted high-definition televisions. Also added is the highly popular Peloton bike, which brings a convenient and immersive indoor cycling experience. Peloton’s daily classes are live streamed from their New York City studio into the Fitness Center.
“We’re delighted our renovated fitness center is open, as more and more members are placing an emphasis on physical fitness,” says Marc DeWall, General Manager for the Clubs of Cordillera Ranch. “We want to ensure Cordillera Ranch has a state-of-the-art fitness center that is functional and meets their every exercise needs. The fitness center renovation is yet another example of the club providing outstanding amenities for its members.”
The Fitness Center renovation and expansion coincides with the addition of Jane Riley, Cordillera Ranch’s new Fitness and Wellness Director. Riley is certified in multiple modalities of fitness including personal fitness training, group exercises, Aquafit, women’s fitness and senior fitness, as well as being a Certified Nutritional Advisor.
Cordillera Ranch has earned a reputation as one of the country’s finest luxury communities, with its consistent growth and stability that has unquestionably instilled buyer confidence. Nearly 800 homes are completed (and more than 1,200 lot sales) in the community. At final build-out, Cordillera Ranch will total approximately 2,500 homes and preserve 80% of the land in its natural state.
The community garnered $106 million in real estate transactions in 2018 (home starts, lot and home sales), the fourth straight year Cordillera Ranch has eclipsed $100 million. This robust real estate activity over the past four years has expedited construction of several new amenities.
Designed by renowned architect Jim Terrian, the new Cordillera Ranch Vista Offices and Visitors Center is home to Cordillera Ranch Realty, DH Investment Company, Pasadera Builders, the Cordillera Ranch Property Owners Association administration, along with Jim Terrian Designs.
Cordillera Ranch’s Vista Offices and Visitors Center boasts a residential-looking exterior, and its internal layout offers great functional enhancements and state-of-the-art technological presentations. Four touch-screen kiosks in the main lobby connect the client with general information about the community, amenities, available properties, The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch, interactive maps and the Preferred Builders – Garner Homes, Todd Glowka Builders, Stadler Homes and Pasadera Builders.
The Golf Performance Center at Cordillera Ranch also opened earlier this year, and the center offers two hitting bays, each boasting a Flightscope Launch Monitor and a three-camera system to provide instructors with valuable swing information and video data of their students. The Golf Performance Center at Cordillera Ranch also is one of the few facilities in Texas to feature the Swing Catalyst 3D Motion Plate.
The community is currently constructing The Lodges at Cordillera Ranch, boutique onsite accommodations for property owners and club members’ guests. The first phase of The Lodges will include two units with a total of 10 available rooms and is scheduled for completion this summer. The Lodges are idyllically located adjacent to The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch clubhouse so guests can conveniently enjoy the amenities.
Cordillera Ranch’s seven on-site, resort-style amenity clubs – Golf, Tennis and Swim, Spa and Athletic, Social, Rod and Gun, Equestrian and River – are all available under one membership. This trailblazing model continues to attract a wide array of buyers from throughout Texas and the United States. The Cordillera Ranch clubhouse was recently named the Most Beautiful Clubhouse in Texas by Architectural Digest. Community honors continue to roll in as well, as Where to Retire Magazine named Cordillera Ranch one of the “50 Best Master-Planned Communities in the U.S.,” and San Antonio Magazine tabbed it one of the best neighborhoods in the area.
