French Lick Resort (French Lick, Ind.): Reports on the inaugural The Legends Championship that it will host Sept. 23-29. The Legends Tour event will feature a prize purse of $550,000.

Battenkill Country Club (Greenwich, N.Y.): Awarded a grant from the First Links program, offered jointly by the American Society of Golf Course Architects and the PGA of America. With the grant, Battenkill invited architect Lester George of George Golf Design to assess what course alterations could be made to improve the learning process for players.

The Saint Andrew’s Golf Club (Hastings-On-Hudson, N.Y.): To celebrate the club’s 125th anniversary with a week-long celebration in June. A series of special golf events will lead up to its Gala Anniversary Dinner Dance at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City on Saturday, June 8.

Old Palm Golf Club (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.): Partners with International Sports Management to create a North American home for European golfers Lee Westwood, Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel – all of whom have purchased homes in the Old Palm community – and Darren Clarke, who is a member of the club. The quartet will utilize Old Palm’s Raymond Floyd-designed golf course in preparation for PGA Tour events.

Jemsek Golf: Receives an extension on its lease for Pine Meadow Golf Course in Mundelein, Ill. Jemsek Golf has leased the golf course from the University of St. Mary of the Lake and the Archdiocese of Chicago since 1985.

Old Tabby Links (Spring Island, S.C.): Reopened on Oct. 27 following the successful completion of a seven-month restoration project. The project was overseen by Arnold Palmer Design Co.

PGA National Resort and Spa (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.): Opened its new Fazio Course on Nov. 1. The Fazio is a complete renovation of The Haig – PGA National’s original 18-hole course opened in 1980. The Haig was designed by George and Tom Fazio in tribute to five-time PGA champion Walter Hagen.
