Marriott Golf: To host three professional tour events in 2011, including two World Golf Championship showcase events, along with the LPGA’s RR Donnelley Founders Cup.

Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club: Completes a multi-million dollar capital enhancements program that included a name change from Poplar Creek Country Club. The club, located in Hoffman Estates, IL, will open nine holes for 18-hole rounds on March 26. All 18 holes will open in early June.

Dormie Club: The Bill Coore- and Ben Crenshaw-designed walking golf course, located 5 miles north of the Village of Pinehurst (NC), is open for play.

Misty Creek Country Club: To host its inaugural President’s Day Pro-Am Feb. 23-24 and a long drive competition on Saturday, March 5. PGA Tour players Robert Gamez, Grant Waite and Michael Sim are scheduled to compete. Misty Creek is located in Sarasota, FL.

National Golf Course Owners Association: Selects Hidden Valley Golf Club in Norco, CA, as its 2011 Course of the Year. The course has added 9,000 rounds and increased special events business nearly 50 percent in the last three years.
