Butterfield Trail Golf Club: Recognized by Golfweek as No. 3 on its 2010 list Best Municipal Courses. The El Paso, Texas, course ranked behind Bethpage Black, the 2009 U.S. Open venue, and Chambers Bay, host to the 2010 U.S. Amateur and 2015 U.S. Open.

Camelback Golf Club: To host its third Family Golf Festival on Sunday, May 23. The Scottsdale, Ariz., club will offer day of instruction, contests and golf.

U.S. Golf Association: Selects CordeValle in San Martin, Calif., as the site of the 2013 USGA Senior Women’s Amateur Championship. The dates of the championship are Sept. 21-26.

Medinah Country Club: Redesigns the 15th hole of its No. 3 course, venue for the 2012 Ryder Cup, into a drivable par 4, reducing its length by 100 yards and adding a new two-acre lake that borders the right side of the fairway and green. The redesign took place along with a major greens renovation project in which 11 of the 18 greens were rebuilt to U.S. Golf Association specifications.

Quail Point Golf Course: Opens a nine-hole natural grass putting course that was designed by course architect John Fought. Players tee off on actual holes and putt through fairways and around creative landscapes such as water hazards. Quail Point is located in Medford, Ore.

The holes were Raven’s Claw’s 137-yard, par-3 No. 14 hole and Vineyard Golf’s 322-yard, par-4 No. 8 hole. The list is published annually in the Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News Golf Guide.
