Sun Valley Resort‘s Trail Creek Course, located in Sun Valley, Idaho, has been voted No. 4 on Golfweek‘s state-by-state list of “America’s Best Courses You Can Play.”

The Kaua’i Visitors Bureau in Hawaii announces that four of the courses in its 117-hole golf destination co-operative have been voted on Golfweek‘s 2008 America’s Best Courses You Can Play state list. The courses are Princeville (Prince Course), Poipu Bay, Kaua’i Lagoons (Kiele Course) and Puakea.

The magazine ranks Black Sheep 56th, with "modern" defined as any course built after 1960. The private club opened in 2002.

Lake Toxaway Country Club in Lake Toxaway, N.C., enters the final phase of its golf course redesign project, with an expected opening in late July. The final phase involves a complete redesign and renovation of the front nine. When finished, Lake Toxaway will boast the first original design by architect Kris Spence.
