ALDIE, Va., —Creighton Farms, a 900-acre gated community located in rolling horse country just west of Washington D.C., ranked in the top 10 of Golf Digest’s prestigious ‘Best in State’ Virginia rankings.
Presenting the top golf courses, both private and public, in the Commonwealth state, the latest Golf Digest rankings saw Creighton Farms soar five places to 10th. Since its opening, Creighton Farms has consistently ranked in the top 20 of these rankings. In the 2019-20 rankings, the club also finished 10th.
Opened in 2007, the Jack Nicklaus Signature Course is the crown jewel of Creighton Farms. Characterized as “tough but rewarding,” the 18-hole course stretches to 7,365 yards and boasts a slope of 153. The par-72 layout features wide rolling fairways and undulating putting surfaces, with striking elevation changes that add both spectacular views and challenges. Another hallmark of the golf course is the condition – often, the course is regarded to be “maintained to a level of perfection that would make you think no one plays there.”
