Long Drive Returns to Mesquite Nevada. Ultimate Long Drive, Inc and Golf Mesquite Nevada bring both professional and amateur competitions to the Mesquite Sport Complex August 1, 2020.
The Amateur Long Drive™ Championship Series (ALD) and the newly created Xtreme Long Drive® Championship Series (XLD) will make their first appearance in Mesquite Nevada August 1, 2020 at the Mesquite Sports Complex. Both series’ are owned and operated in the USA, Canada, and India by Ultimate Long Drive, Inc. There will be amateur divisions for Youth (13 & Under), Junior (14 – 17), Open (any age), Senior (45 – 59), Super Senior (61 – 69), 70+ (70 & older) Open Military, and Open Adaptive. Professional divisions include Open Men, Open Women, and Masters.
Just prior to scheduling this event, two-time and reigning World Long Drive Masters Champion, Jeff Crittenden has taken the position of Tour Commissioner for XLD. The new XLD series will be branded as Jeff Crittenden’s Xtreme Long Drive®. Former long driver Ed Lapierre has been named National Tournament Director for Jeff Crittenden’s Xtreme Long Drive®. The newly formed XLD team will launch the professional series with three events in 2020 (including Mesquite) while adding 15 tour stops in 2021.
Emmy and ACE Award-winning sportscaster, Jim Kelly will be on-hand for the event. Kelly is the official television voice of Ultimate Long Drive and emcee the Amateur Long Drive World Championship. “I’m looking forward to getting out to Mesquite and seeing the fans and competitors of this great sport,” remarked Jim Kelly. “I’ve met some incredible people working with Amateur Long Drive.”
