Steel & Oak offers new menu, modern design features to enhance member experience
Sewickley, Pa. – Invited, the worldwide leader in private clubs, is pleased to announce the completion of significant reinvestment efforts at Diamond Run Golf Club, including the opening of its new restaurant, Steel & Oak. Members celebrated the opening of the restaurant during an event on April 5 that ushered in a new culinary era for the revered club.
These renovations are part of an ongoing multimillion-dollar reinvestment campaign that spans Invited’s national portfolio of private member clubs and is focused on creating a refined, inviting environment that best fits today’s members.
“Steel & Oak is a reimagination of the culinary experience for our members, bringing together world-class cuisine in a completely transformed, modern dining room,” said Nick Ruzzo, general manager at Diamond Run Golf Club. “From new menu offerings to an expanded bar that offers more seating, more elegance and more opportunities for socialization for our members, we’re thrilled to be able to deliver a one-of-a-kind dining offering for our members.”
Steel & Oak’s menu features innovative, bold flavors that showcase oak through dishes that are smoked, grilled and wood-fired. A completely transformed atmosphere celebrates Pittsburgh’s reputation as “Steel City” through intentional design features throughout the dining room that combine steel with wood.
Additionally, a revamped outdoor patio offers members a beautiful venue to relax, dine and socialize with pristine views of the golf course. Inside, a new wine wall is a central point in Steel & Oak as its new temperature-controlled storage system ensures freshness and flavor with vacuum-sealed dispensers enhancing each wine offering glass by glass. The revamped Wine Club at Diamond Run Golf Club will offer complimentary tastings and educational classes.
Steel & Oak is one element of a broader reinvestment at Diamond Run Golf Club, including a new layout on the main floor of the clubhouse that will enhance the member experience with a warm and welcoming reception area.
The club has already wrapped up several renovations to the golf course, including a complete overhaul of the bunkers, featuring the best-in-class Better Billy Bunker method to ensure unparalleled quality and playability. The locker rooms also were upgraded with new showers, vanities and interiors.
