Cordillera Ranch Names Corey Roberson its New Director of Golf
(BOERNE, Texas) – Cordillera Ranch – the Hill Country’s premier luxury and golf community – has tabbed Corey Roberson as its new Director of Golf.
Roberson comes to Cordillera Ranch from Dallas’ Preston Trail Golf Club, where he served and was trained under decorated head golf professional Cameron Doan since 2012. In 2018, the Northern Texas PGA named Roberson the Assistant Golf Professional of the Year.
Before Preston Trail, Roberson worked at Shady Valley Golf Club in Arlington, Texas. A native of Canton, Texas, Roberson learned the game at Van Zandt Country Club, where his father, Dave, served as the head golf professional for 20 years. Roberson attended Texas State University, where he played collegiate golf and was captain of his team.
“Corey brings an incredible amount of expertise in providing exemplary service at an elite club, and we are thrilled to welcome him to our team,” says Marc DeWall, General Manager for The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch. “Peers recognize Corey as the consummate golf professional, and his knowledge will continue to develop and enhance the overall golf experience for our members.”
“It’s a blessing to continue my professional career at Cordillera Ranch, as the challenge of building upon the club’s relaxed high-end culture holds unrivaled appeal,” Roberson adds. “The goal is to ensure the golf experience at Cordillera Ranch remains one of the best and most memorable in the state, and apply the best practices in inspired leadership and performance impact off the course.”
Set on pristine land in the Texas Hill Country, Cordillera Ranch boasts a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course that meanders through valleys and oak-covered terrain. Many holes offer views of the Guadalupe River Valley and feature strategic bunkering, craggy limestone canyons and thought-provoking risk-reward shots. The Dallas Morning News consistently ranks the Cordillera Ranch golf course in the top-10 of its Texas Golf ranking of the state’s best layouts, and lists the par-3 16th among the state’s “Best” and “Most Beautiful” golf holes.
The Golf Performance Center at Cordillera Ranch opened earlier this year and offers two hitting bays, each boasting a Flightscope Launch Monitor and three-camera system. The Golf Performance Center at Cordillera Ranch also is one of the few facilities in Texas to feature the Swing Catalyst 3D Motion Plate.
The Golf Performance Center at Cordillera Ranch is one of several new or renovated amenities the community is providing its members. The club’s fitness center was recently renovated, complete with a reconfiguration of the facility, new program offerings and updated exercise equipment. The Vista Office and Visitor Center, housing the offices of Cordillera Ranch Realty, DH Investment Company, Pasadera Builders and the Cordillera Ranch POA administration, also recently opened. Additionally, the community is constructing the Lodges at Cordillera Ranch, boutique onsite accommodations for property owners and club members’ guests. The first phase of Lodges will include two units with a total of 10 available rooms and is scheduled for completion by later this summer.
