Marriott Golf Announces Filippa McDougall as newly appointed Director of Golf Operations at JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa
Marriott Golf, the global golf division of Marriott International, Inc., today announced that Filippa McDougall has been promoted to the position of Director of Golf Operations at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona. In her new role, McDougall will be responsible for overseeing all golf operations for the luxury 36-hole facility including membership, retail merchandising, tournaments, instructional programming, and customer engagement.
Filippa has spent the last 11 years at JW Marriott Camelback Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona and has been the Director of Golf for the past 3 years. Filippa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and minored in English at Duke University, while also helping lead the Blue Devils to their first NCAA victory. Filippa spent several years as a touring golf professional before joining Marriott and Camelback Golf Club as an Assistant Golf Professional. She then was promoted to Head Professional and ultimately Director of Golf.
