Dr. Eric Wilson, PGA Legacy Master Professional and Executive Director of Golf Operations for Keiser University College of Golf who has been with the college for 14 years, discusses his role and experiences in the field of golf.
He was the first hire at the college and has been instrumental in developing the curriculum for all the classes. He is particularly involved in the Master of Science in Golf Teaching and Learning program and enjoys giving individual and group golf lessons.
Dr. Wilson shares his passion for golf, which began at the age of 13. He reflects on his own defining moments in golf, including setting course records, and expresses his admiration for golfer Scotty Sheffer. He also recalls playing at renowned golf courses like St Andrews, Pebble Beach, and Pinehurst No. 2.
He emphasizes the importance of taking golf lessons from established professionals with proper credentials, advising beginners to seek professional help to avoid forming bad habits.
