-Premium golf shoe brand becomes a sponsor of penultimate event on LPGA TOUR season-
Duca del Cosma is doing its part to celebrate women’s golf by supporting The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican LPGA Tour event, to be held November 13-17 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.
The luxury Italian golf fashion brand, whose women’s golf shoes offer technical excellence as well as dazzling style on the course, will be a sponsor of the event that brings the world’s greatest professional women golfers – including Duca Ambassadors Georgia Hall, Polly Mack and recent LPGA Tour winner Jasmine Suwannapura– to the Tampa-Clearwater area for the penultimate event of the 2024 LPGA schedule.
As part of its involvement, Duca del Cosma will host an activation on the 12th hole showcasing its advanced SS24 handcrafted golf shoe collection offering unmatched all-day comfort, as well as the top-quality range of cabretta leather gloves. The premium brand will also be an Official Partner of the Women’s Leadership Summit during the event.
“We’re extremely proud to be supporting The ANNIKA tournament and celebrate women’s golf at the highest level of the game,” said Evelien Lauwers, Managing Director North America, and Global Sales Director. “We’ll all be rooting for Georgia, Polly and Jasmine and we can’t wait to see them in our premium golf shoes at such a fantastic event,” she added.
Duca del Cosma was founded in Italy in 2004 by Baldovino Mattiazzo, who still designs the distinctive collections for men and women golfers. Since 2016, the company has been reinvigorated by Frank van Wezel and his wife Caroline to now see its shoes sold in more than 40 different countries worldwide.
Founded in 2020, The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican also supports the ANNIKA Foundation, which develops and empowers the next generation of women around the world through the game of golf. More specifically, the foundation provides opportunities in women’s golf at the junior, collegiate and professional levels while teaching young people the importance of personal development.
Pelican Golf Club, an 18-hole golf course designed with inspiration from Donald Ross’ original layout, plays to a par 70 and nearly 7,000 yards. With lush greenery and undulating terrain, the property is rooted in the beauty of old-world courses of the past, it features manicured fairways and uninterrupted rough with greens and tees maintained at the highest levels.
