Four generations of family ownership have carried Duininck from horse-drawn road graders to a nationally recognized golf course builder, giving clubs and architects a builder backed by a century of experience
DELANO, Minn. — When Duininck Golf breaks ground on a project, its teams bring decades of golf-specific construction experience supported by a century of civil construction expertise from Duininck. In 2026, Duininck is celebrating its 100thanniversary, a milestone built on the family values, craftsmanship and reliability that have made Duininck Golf a trusted partner to golf clubs and architects across the country.
Duininck’s story began in 1926, when brothers Amos, Henry and Wilbur Duininck started grading roads with horse-drawnequipment in Prinsburg, Minnesota. What began as a small road-building operation has grown through four generations of family ownership into a company with more than 1,400 employees across three sectors: water management, construction and materials, and real estate.
Duininck Golf operates within Duininck’s construction and materials sector alongside the company’s concrete and heavy civilconstruction operations. The business draws on decades of shared expertise in earthmoving, drainage and site development—capabilities central to building and renovating high-performing golf courses.
Established in 1988, Duininck Golf has built a national reputation for new golf course construction, renovation and irrigation work. The company has completed projects across the United States alongside leading golf course architects and consultants. Acertified builder with the Golf Course Builders Association of America, Duininck Golf operates from offices in Minnesota and Georgia, bringing the precision and experience needed to translate a course design into a lasting, playable golf experience.
“We saw an opportunity to serve the golf industry, and we have spent decades becoming true experts in golf course construction and understanding exactly what our customers need,” said Judd Duininck, Owner and past President of the Golf CourseBuilders Association of America, serving from 2020 to 2022. “That focus is what our reputation is built on today.”
Duininck remains fully family owned. In 2026, the company reached another milestone as the first members of its fourthgeneration became company shareholders. The transition reflects the long-term thinking, steady leadership and consistent values that have guided the company for a century.
“As we mark 100 years as a family business, our path forward is grounded in the same servant leadership that got us here: putting our employees and customers first,” said Sam Duininck, Director of Business Development and Owner. “We are proudof the relationships we have developed and the courses we have helped build, and we look forward to the next 100 years of doing this work.”
Duininck marked its centennial with a community celebration July 25, 2026, in Willmar, Minnesota, bringing togetheremployees, partners and customers to celebrate the company’s history. One hundred years after three brothers began gradingroads with horse-drawn equipment in Prinsburg, the same commitment to people, craftsmanship and community continues to guide the company forward.
