Dutchman’s Pipe Club Welcomes AimPoint Founder Mark Sweeney as Golf Instructor

October 27, 2026

World-renowned instructor and Emmy Award winner brings putting and green-reading expertise to the Club’s distinguished instruction team

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Dutchman’s Pipe Club, the invitation-only private club featuring Jack Nicklaus Signature golf in West Palm Beach, today announces Mark Sweeney as Golf Instructor, adding to the Club’s world-class roster of renowned coaches. Sweeney, the founder of AimPoint Golf and one of the game’s leading authorities on putting and green reading, brings Club members the same direct access to the expertise that has helped the world’s best players build confidence on the greens.

“Mark brings a remarkable depth of knowledge to an area of the game that matters to every golfer,” said Matt Cain, Director of Golf at Dutchman’s Pipe Club. “His addition reflects our commitment to giving members access to exceptional coaches with complementary strengths. Alongside our instruction team and practice facilities, his expertise creates another meaningful opportunity for members to improve and enjoy their golf.”

Recognized among Golf Digest’s 50 Best Teachers in America, Sweeney developed AimPoint to give golfers a systematic approach to understanding how putts break. His experience includes working with PGA TOUR and LPGA Tour players such as Sir Nick Faldo, Keegan Bradley, Justin Rose, Sam Burns, Tommy Fleetwood, Jim Furyk, Padraig Harrington, Adam Scott, Justin Thomas, Bubba Watson, Lydia Ko, Nelly Korda, Stacy Lewis, Michelle Wie and Danielle Kang.

Sweeney’s influence also extends to how audiences experience the game. In 2008, he received an Emmy Award for Technical Achievement for the AimPoint Virtual Putting Line, a broadcast technology that predicts and visually illustrates the break of a putt. Featured on Golf Channel and approved by the PGA TOUR for broadcast use, the technology helped viewers better understand the challenges players face on the greens. His expertise has been featured by Golf Channel, NBC Sports, BBC Sport, Golf Digest, GOLF Magazine, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

At Dutchman’s Pipe Club, Sweeney joins an accomplished golf team that includes Kevin Kirk, Director of Performance; Kellie Stenzel, Director of Instruction; Chris Como, Golf Ambassador; Terry Rowles, Performance Coach; and Mark Carter, Head Golf Professional, who leads the Club’s custom club fitting and club building program. Together, the team reflects the Club’s holistic approach to player development, bringing instruction, physical performance, equipment optimization and specialized areas of the game into one comprehensive program.

Rather than treating each element independently, the Club’s approach considers the complete golfer — from how the body moves and the swing performs to how equipment is fit and built for the individual player. Supported by advanced technology and extensive practice facilities, members have access to specialists who can work collaboratively to identify opportunities for improvement across every facet of their game. Sweeney further expands that approach with specialized expertise in green reading, slope, speed and decision-making on the putting surface.

“Understanding the greens can change the way a golfer approaches every putt,” said Sweeney. “My goal is to help golfers develop a repeatable process they can trust and take directly onto the course. Dutchman’s Pipe offers an outstanding setting for that work, with excellent practice facilities and a coaching team that shares a commitment to each player’s development.”

The Club’s 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature course stretches approximately 7,300 yards, pairing rolling fairways with strategically designed green complexes and water features. Members enjoy golf without tee times, complemented by a professional caddie program. The practice campus includes a 315-yard driving range with four target greens, a wedge matrix, a 12,000-square-foot putting green and a two-acre short-game complex with multiple greens and bunkers. Together, these facilities provide opportunities to develop skills and apply them in situations that mirror on-course play.

Beyond golf, Dutchman’s Pipe Club offers tennis, pickleball and padel, fitness and wellness facilities, dining, and member programming. Members also enjoy access to amenities and services at The Belgrove Resort & Spa, an Autograph Collection property with a full-service spa, resort pools and additional dining experiences.

Sweeney is based at Dutchman’s Pipe Club and maintains limited availability for private instruction. Members may contact the golf team for scheduling information. For more information about the Club and membership opportunities, visit www.dutchmanspipeclub.com.
