Augusta, GA ▬ Textron E-Z-GO LLC, a Textron (NYSE:TXT) company, is proud to provide E-Z-GO® vehicles to support the competitors in the inaugural Optum Golf Channel Games, which will air live at 7 p.m. EST on Dec. 17 on Golf Channel and USA Network.

Some of the world’s top golfers will use customized E-Z-GO Freedom RXV® ELiTE golf cars during the competition, in which the world’s top-ranked players, Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, will lead two four-man teams in never-before-seen timed and strategy-focused challenges under the pressure of the clock and the primetime lights.

The challenges include the Timed Drive and Short Game Competitions, the 14-Club Challenge in which players will go through the bag – including driver and putter – in a closest-to-the-pin contest from the fairway, the Team Relay where teams alternate shots to complete a hole in the shortest amount of time, and the Captain’s Challenge between Rory and Scottie. The event will be broadcast from Trump National Golf Club Jupiter in Florida.

“It’s an honor to be part of the inaugural Optum Golf Channel Games, and to have E-Z-GO vehicles be a prominent part of this creative and exciting competition,” said Adam Harris, Vice President and General Manager, E-Z-GO. “We’re looking forward to seeing our vehicles out on the course as the world’s top golfers go head-to-head to pull off shots that most of us can only dream of making.”

The E-Z-GO Freedom RXV ELiTE is designed and built to provide a premium experience on the course, with Samsung SDI lithium battery technology for a quiet, zero-emission, and energy-efficient ride that requires no battery maintenance. The Freedom RXV ELiTE also features LED headlights and taillights for improved visibility; an ergonomic dash with plenty of room for balls, tees, cups and personal items; and automotive-style pedals with IntelliBrake technology, which automatically engages the vehicle’s service brake whenever it stops. The model can be outfitted with additional options and accessories, including luxury seating, to further enhance the golfer’s on-course experience.
