(SALEM, NH) – ECCO GOLF, leaders in golf footwear innovation, today introduces the new BIOM H6. Drawing on the legacy of two of ECCO GOLF ‘s most successful hybrid models – the BIOM HYBRID 3 and BIOM HYBRID 4, the athletic BIOM H6 golf shoe brings trusted BIOM performance to a new generation.
Developed for golfers who prioritise performance, the BIOM H6 combines a modern, sporty aesthetic with all-day comfort, advanced stability, and next-generation traction. Built on an updated version of ECCO’s proven BIOM® last, the shoe is based on the BIOM C4 platform with increased toe volume, supporting natural movement while delivering a secure and performance-focused fit.
Designed from the ground up, both men’s and women’s models are built on dedicated lasts and purpose-engineered designs, delivering a fit and performance experience tailored to the needs of each golfer.
At the heart of the BIOM H6 is ECCO’s BIOM® technology, designed to promote natural shock absorption and motion through a low-to-the-ground construction that enhances feel, flexibility, stability and a sensation of being grounded. A full BIOM® shank system provides torsional stability and midfoot support, while TPU stabilising elements help hold the foot securely in place throughout the swing without compromising natural movement.
One of the most significant innovations is X-TENSA™ support technology. Anatomically engineered around the natural bone structure of the foot, X-TENSA™ provides targeted lateral support while reducing unnecessary pressure around sensitive areas. On the lace model, the support element is visible on the lateral side of the upper, while the BOA® version features X-TENSA™ Invisible, integrated beneath the leather for additional side-to-side support with a clean, streamlined aesthetic. This is otherwise known as freedom fit, where the foot is locked in, but the toes have freedom to move.
The BOA® model also incorporates the BOA® Fit System with textile guides, delivering a secure yet flexible fit with micro-adjustable precision. The lace version features reflective lace detailing, hidden lace loops inspired by earlier BIOM generations, and a newly developed ergonomic heel pull-tab for easier entry.
Underfoot, the BIOM H6 returns to ECCO’s proven MTN GRIP outsole concept, updated with new side and heel traction elements to increase grass penetration, improve grip during the swing, and enhance traction across varying conditions. The new sole works with ECCO’s advanced ether-based polyurethane midsole material, while engineered geometry allows the PU to compress more naturally during walking for enhanced cushioning and a softer feel underfoot.
Comfort is further enhanced through an upgraded Dual-Fit system. An additional layer helps maintain consistent cushioning – when the layer is taken out for extra width the insole stays in place, giving golfers greater freedom to customize the fit without sacrificing underfoot comfort. Enhanced padding around the collar and tongue, together with moulded comfort zones, creates a softer and more refined fit experience.
The upper is crafted from a stronger, more durable version of ECCO’s proven DriTan™ leather – made in ECCO’s own tanneries – and combines durability with breathability and performance. A fully waterproof membrane construction provides protection in wet conditions while remaining breathable, with strategic perforations helping to support moisture management and airflow.
