STATE APPAREL Introduces Eco-Friendly ‘Green Collar’ Golf Shirt
Portion of Proceeds to be Donated to Audubon International
STATE APPAREL – creators of functional golfwear made with a unique Wiping System – has introduced the “Green Collar” men’s golf shirt to support sustainability and eco-friendly initiatives within the industry while paying tribute to environmental caretakers of the game’s nearly 15,000 U.S. courses.
Crafted from recycled performance fabric, the Green Collar shirt (MSRP $92) honors those who responsibly nurture course greens and surrounding landscapes. Additionally, 15 percent of STATE APPAREL profits from polo sales will be donated to Audubon International’s Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf, an award-winning education and certification program that helps facilities protect the environment and preserve the natural heritage of the game.
“The Green Collar polo is a testament to the countless hours, tireless dedication and passionate care by golf course groundskeepers and other environmental specialists to preserve and protect the game’s natural surroundings, which account for nearly two million acres of U.S. green space,” says Jason Yip, CEO and Founder of STATE APPAREL. “We’re proud to make smarter choices in support of our community while producing a high-quality, eco-friendly product for golfers everywhere to support the cause.”
Featuring a contrast collar, placket and pocket, the lightweight Green Collar button down polo is made with 79% recycled polyester and has a soft, smooth feel for subtle and stylish comfort on and off the course. Dedicated to sustainability, STATE APPAREL manufactures all garments in San Francisco and chooses USA-made products when possible to maintain a positive, long-lasting impact on the local economy.
STATE APPAREL is also the first apparel brand to introduce its innovative Wiping System. By strategically adding wiping layers of towel-like fabric to cuffs, sides and pockets of select garments, golfers are able to efficiently clean hands, clubs and golf balls in a swift movement, eliminating the need for toweling off equipment between shots.
Along with the full STATE APPAREL product range, the Green Collar polo is available online at www.stateapparel.com and STATE APPAREL’s Urban Clubhouse retail store located in downtown San Francisco.
