LAKE MARY, FL – The International Network of Golf (ING), a non-profit, media-based networking organization, announced that the deadline is approaching for submissions into the 28th Annual ING Media Awards program this year.
ING membership is open to anyone in the golf industry and media. The non-profit International Network of Golf is golf’s only media-based networking organization, “where media connects with the golf industry.” ING conducts annual media and business awards, hosts the ING Hospitality Room at the PGA Merchandise Show, and facilitates the annual ING Spring Conference. Jamison Golf Group, a long-running PR & Media Relations company, founded and still manages ING.
Those who are not yet ING members, may visit www.inggolf.com and click on “Join ING.” Anyone who joins before the Media Awards deadline of Oct. 11 will be eligible for this year’s media awards program.
Rather than clipping and copying articles from the publications, writers will log onto www.inggolf.com, click on “Media Awards” and complete the entry form there, including the link to the entry.
Of the categories in the ING Media Awards, seven are for writers, including Feature Writing. That category is for stories that do not fit into any of the remaining writing categories: Travel Writing, Business Writing, Opinions/Editorials, Profile Writing, Equipment/Apparel Writing and Competition Coverage.
Other categories include, Excellence in Publications, TV Shows, Radio Shows (two categories), Podcasts and the Internet Video category.
Judging is done by a panel of three independent experts in each category. Judges are selected by Individual Category Chairs. Where possible, by-lines and publication names are stripped from the articles before they are sent to the judges.
Winners will be announced and honored at the ING Media Awards Presentation Press Conference in January at the PGA Merchandise Show.
Rules, regulations, category descriptions, entry forms and past winners can be found under Awards on the www.inggolf.com site.
ING is the golf industry’s only media-based networking organization. “ING is where media and the golf industry connect.”
Anyone in the media or golf industry is invited to join. For more information, call 407-474-0531, or visit www.inggolf.com.
