Fort Worth-based company to bring the newest private golf club to the area.
Fort Worth, TX – Escalante Golf, a boutique owner and operator of golf clubs and resorts nationwide is behind Texas’ newest private golf club being developed in the Aledo area off of Highway 377; one of the hottest new-build luxury markets in North Texas. The Fort Worth-based company is honored to work in its own backyard to create one of the most sought-after golf club memberships in the state.
The course at Kelly Ranch Golf Club, designed by internationally known golf course architect, Tripp Davis, is scheduled for completion in early Spring 2025.
“After walking the land at Kelly Ranch, I was struck by how interesting the topography is and how unique it is to this part of Texas, being reminiscent of the Hill Country. It presents an extraordinary palette to create a golf course that’s beautiful, strategically interesting, and a lot of fun to play.” Davis says. “Almost every great golf course starts with a great piece of land, and that is what we have at Kelly Ranch. It makes it a challenge at times to maintain the natural quality of the land in design, but it also presents creative opportunities to make the golf course a great visual and playing experience that offers intriguing shot options for players to choose their own way around the course. This challenge in design and the opportunity to build a truly special golf course, and do so with Escalante, had me interested immediately.”
A seasoned golf course architect whose career spans 30 years, Davis received his Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Oklahoma, which he combines with a unique knowledge of the way the game is played, having been a collegiate All-American and a highly ranked amateur for over 40 years. His technical expertise and knowledge of the game have resulted in golf courses that are strategically fun for all types of players. Davis’ portfolio ranges from original designs like Old American Golf Club in Dallas, and Turtle Dunes Country Club in Acapulco, Mexico; to his work restoring, renovating or redesigning existing courses such as Preston Trail Golf Club in Dallas, the Atlanta Athletic Club in Atlanta; and The International in Boston.
In addition to the private 18-hole golf course, Kelly Ranch Golf Club’s planned amenities include a golf clubhouse, separate sports club, and state-of-the-art driving range and short game area, giving members an opportunity to practice every facet of their game on true course-like conditions. The vision for the club is to redefine the golf market in North Texas and create a course that exudes excellence and thoughtful design. A limited number of Founder memberships for Kelly Ranch Golf Club with exclusive benefits have officially been released.
Kelly Ranch Golf Club is a part of the larger 2,400 acre development led by Parker County local, Ryan Voorhees, of Kelly Ranch Estates LLC. The development encompasses three communities and a commercial park. Of the three developments, Rio Vista, La Dorada, and Kelly Ranch, the golf course will be the focal point of the luxury gated Kelly Ranch community. Escalante Golf leads the development of the course and amenities as well as the residential real estate sales and marketing efforts.
“Escalante’s portfolio of work speaks for itself and we’re eager to move forward together with this remarkable project. They bring the operational expertise to make Kelly Ranch Golf Club the crown jewel of the development and truly bring the vision to life,” said Voorhees.
David McDonald, operating partner and President of Escalante Golf shares, “We’re ready to create a unique golf experience at Kelly Ranch that speaks to and reflects the luxury lifestyle within this gated community. This is a very close-to-home project for us, and we are honored to work with Ryan and build a generational club that many people have been longing for in this area.”
