EUROPEAN AND ASIAN TOUR WINNERS SPORT CLEATED FOOTWEAR
While the professional golf tours are slowing down for the holidays in the United States, they are going strong internationally. Over the weekend, the winners of both the European Tour and Asian Tour events captured their victories in footwear featuring replaceable cleats.
“While our focus is often on the PGA TOUR, it’s important to note that cleated footwear is as valued in other parts of the world as in the U.S.,” said John Hohman, senior vice president of marketing for PrideSports. “Not only do we see continued success of players utilizing our products on the professional tours in other countries but consumers in those markets have also embraced the value that comes from playing golf in footwear with cleats.”
A former Northwestern University star from America won his first European Tour event since 2014 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship. He was joined by the winner of the BNI Indonesian Tour event, who captured his third Asian Tour victory by three strokes.
