Dedham, MA — FAIRWAYiQ, the golf industry’s precision GPS fleet management platform, today announced it is extending the purchase deadline for its legacy GPS buyout program through April 30, 2026. Theextension is designed to give courses that lost valuable planning time to an unusually difficult winter a clear path to completing installation before the height of the playing season.
To accommodate a proper installation, equipment configuration, and staff onboarding, courses must complete their purchase by April 30. Installations will be scheduled on a first-come basis as the season opens.
“We’ve been watching the weather and watching our inbound volume — they’re moving together,” said Dave Vanslette, Founder and CEO of FAIRWAYiQ. “Courses that should have been evaluating systems in February were dealing withsnow removal instead. We extended the buyout window because the superintendent calling us this week deserves the same shot as the one who called us in January – but the calendar is real. We need time to install correctly, and peak season doesn’t wait.”
Buyout Program Details
FAIRWAYiQ’s legacy GPS buyout program is designed for courses currently under contract with older or standard GPS fleet management systems. Qualifying courses can transition to precision GPS – including hardware, installation, and onboarding – before their existing agreements expire. Eligibility requirements and program terms are available through the company’s sales team.
“We launched this program because we kept hearing the same thing from prospects: ‘We want to switch, but we’re mid-contract,'” said Mike Stahl, Director of Sales at FAIRWAYiQ. “The buyout removes that barrier. The April 30 deadline isn’ta sales tactic — it’s a logistics reality. We want every course we bring on this spring to be fully operational before peak rounds, and that means we have a hard cutoff on when we can accept new orders and still guarantee it.”
Precision GPS: A Different Category of Technology – 100-300x Better
FAIRWAYiQ operates on RTK precision GPS, delivering centimeter-level accuracy versus the 2-to-15 meter drift common to standard GPS fleet management systems. The distinction has direct operational consequences: geofence enforcement, pace management, cart path compliance, and turf protection all depend on accurate position data. When the underlying measurement is imprecise, every feature built on top of it inherits that limitation.
“From an engineering standpoint, standard GPS drift is not a solvable problem at the software layer,” said Aaron Todd,Director of Product at FAIRWAYiQ. “You cannot write an algorithm that reliably reconstructs where a cart actually was if the hardware never measured it accurately.
Precision GPS solves that at the source. Everything we build from analytics to automation to pace management performs differently when the foundation is centimeter-level data.”
