The PNC Championship is an annual golf tournament for two-player teams, consisting of PGA Tour and Champions Tour golfers and, usually, their sons. Past PNC Championship winners have included Justin Thomas and his father, Mike Thomas in 2020, Jack Nicklaus and his son, Gary Nicklaus in 1999, and Davis Love III and his son, Davis “Dru” Love IV in 2012 and 2018.
For this year’s PNC Championship six-time Major Champion Sir Nick Faldo will team up with his son, Matthew Faldo, and will be wearing new SQAIRZ SPEED™ golf shoes during the tournament. Also competing will be two-time Major Champion John Daly, who will be teamed up with his son, John Daly II. John will be wearing SQAIRZ SPEED™ PNK, a pink version of the new SQAIRZ SPEED™ model that prominently displays the breast cancer ribbon and was designed to bring awareness to all forms of cancer. John will also be wearing new SQAIRZ REDNECK™ Golf Shoes, which he co-designed. The John Daly “REDNECK™” shoe will be available for sale at https://sqairz.com/ in Spring 2022.
When asked to give a statement about his participation in the PNC Championship John Daly responded, “I’m excited to get out there with Little John and wear my SQAIRZ PNK shoes to create awareness of cancer. I’m a cancer survivor – well not yet, I’m close hopefully, but this is something I’m so proud of SQAIRZ for being a part of because every pair of these sold we donate money to the American Cancer Society, so let’s all do our part to fight this disease. I’m also excited to premiere my new REDNECK SQAIRZ shoes at the event because these are just awesome shoes. We wanted to have some fun with the graphics and do something different”.

The PNC Championship is an annual golf tournament for two-player teams, consisting of PGA Tour and Champions Tour golfers and, usually, their sons. Originally named the Father/Son Challenge, it was created by the International Management Group (IMG) to provide an opportunity for professional golfers to play competitive golf alongside their sons. In the following years, the field had expanded to include daughters and grandchildren. In 2020, the name was changed to PNC Championship to reflect the high level of competition and the field composition while still celebrating the family relationships that make this event unique.
