Mexico City and West Palm Beach (August 11, 2023) – Mexico Infrastructure Partners (MIP), the leading asset manager of investment funds in the energy and infrastructure sectors in Latin America, was today announced as an official partner of Fireballs GC. The multi-year partnership will run through the 2025 LIV Golf League season and will begin this week at LIV Golf Bedminster with the MIP brand showcased on team apparel.
Based in Mexico City, the MIP footprint extends through Colombia and Peru, consisting of 39 total investments, five proprietary funds, and two infrastructure real estate investment funds, across seven different infrastructure sectors, amassing $10.6 billion in assets under management.
“As industry leaders, we are always looking to align our mission with like-minded successful brands and organizations,” said Carlos Robles Gil, Partner, Mexico Infrastructure Partners. “We are thrilled to have Sergio Garcia and his team as brand ambassadors as we all share a commitment to our communities and Latin America as a whole. LIV Golf and Fireballs GC are global brands, and we look forward to showcasing our partnership to new audiences across the world.”
Mexico Infrastructure Partners’ corporate responsibility efforts align with that of the Fireballs GC and LIV Golf League’s wider Potential, Unleashed impact program. MIP, through its multiple funds, has made a positive impact on the lives of the people in the communities in which they invest. Their commitment has helped avoid 1,075 metric tons of CO2 emissions, potabilized 500 MM m3 of water reaching more than 20 cities and 13 million users, in addition to treatment of 2.3 million tons of solid waste and having provided 3,400 kilometers of optic fiber for internet access.
“This partnership is particularly exciting for Fireballs GC as Mexico Infrastructure Partners share similar values to our team: adapting to their industry, focusing on bettering their consumers’ lives, all while maintaining a growth mindset. When evaluating new additions to the team of any kind, you’re always looking for those who support your values and we couldn’t be happier to partner with MIP and look forward to what the future holds,” said Sergio Garcia, Fireballs GC Captain.
The partnership with Fireballs GC marks the first time in the company’s history that Mexico Infrastructure Partners have ventured into the sports industry. From a league perspective, LIV Golf teams have now secured partnerships across the apparel, crypto, technology, oil, energy and infrastructure industries.
