First Australian club to use StrackaLine Cutting Edge Hole Location Software
Members at Prestigious New South Wales Golf Club are singing praises of the most recent StrackaLine technology
New South Wales Golf Club, one of the most prestigious and oldest club in Australia, is the latest course to begin using StrackaLine’s powerful new Hole Location (HoLo) software, which has revolutionized the way course superintendents select pin positions.
StrackaLine’s new program allows superintendents to choose among 100-150 pin positions on each green that have been evaluated for fairness and challenge, based on slope and edge clearance. The ability to set pin positions based on data helps improve pace of play and course conditions by ensuring hole locations are set fairly.
While the Green Manager makes life easier for superintendents, golfers have noticed the impact of the new technology as well.
“The ability to choose from thousands of different hole locations on one single green is exciting for both members and superintendents alike,” said Jim Stracka, CEO and founder of StrackaLine. “Another huge benefit of our technology is the ability to link the hole location software with our book technology which has created tremendous excitement within our network.”
“As part of the HoLo package, StrackaLine scans all 18 greens on participating courses and creates topographical maps that are accurate down to the millimeter, allowing the software to determine the best pin locations on each putting surface
The new software has been embraced by the market as more than 50 courses are already utilizing the best-of-its-kind technology, including former PGA Championship and Ryder Cup host Hazeltine National Golf Club.
