An iconic golf tradition returns as players nationwide compete for a Pro-Am finals and Pebble Beach golf experience

NEW YORK, NY — Five Iron Golf, the global leader in indoor golf and entertainment with locations across more than 25 major U.S. cities, is reviving one of golf’s most storied traditions with the launch of The Bing Crosby Clambake x Five Iron Golf, a nationwide indoor tournament that brings the spirit of the original Bing Crosby Clambake back to life, culminating in a Pebble Beach Pro-Am–style playing experience and golf getaway.

Founded in 1937 by Bing Crosby, the original Bing Crosby Clambake was an invitation-only gathering that brought together professionals, amateurs, celebrities, and friends for competitive yet social play on the famed links of California. That event later evolved into what is now the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, long recognized for its unique crossover of sport, entertainment, and access. Five Iron Golf is reviving that original Clambake concept by making it playable again, this time indoors and nationwide.

Beginning January 12, golfers at Five Iron Golf locations across the country can compete on Pebble Beach Golf Links via Trackman simulators, turning one of golf’s most iconic spectator moments into a participatory tournament with real stakes. Players compete simultaneously across markets, removing geographic and weather barriers while preserving competitive integrity.

The Bing Crosby Clambake x Five Iron Golf is presented by Eventia Sports & Entertainment Group and produced in collaboration with the Bing Crosby Estate and Primary Wave Music.

“As one of the most influential stars across music, film, and entertainment, Bing Crosby always believed in bringing people together through shared experiences,” said Sam Sklover, Vice President of Brand Partnerships at Primary Wave Music. “We’re proud to continue the legacy of the Bing Crosby Clambake with Five Iron Golf, pairing modern golf technology with the camaraderie and connection that defined the original tournament.”

How the Tournament Works

From January 12 to January 31, players can complete a nine-hole gross qualifying round on Pebble Beach Golf Links at any Five Iron Golf location using Trackman tournament play. The top five men and top five women advance to a Pro-Am finals round, where they will be paired with a Five Iron Golf professional for an 18-hole stroke-play competition. The remaining top 80 percent of participants will compete in a consolation tournament.

Finals and Pro-Am play will take place February 9 through February 20, again on simulated Pebble Beach.

The Prize: A Pebble Beach Pro-Am Experience

The overall winners will earn a Pebble Beach golf experience in January 2027, fulfilled by Eventia. The prize includes three rounds of golf, including Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill, a three-night stay at The Inn at Spanish Bay or The Lodge at Pebble Beach, access to the Player’s Cup Welcome Party and Awards Dinner, daily breakfast credits, and a Player’s Cup shopping experience.

“What’s always made the Clambake special is the sense that you’re part of something bigger than your own round,” said Mike Doyle, Co-Founder and Chief Golf Officer of Five Iron Golf. “This format recreates the pressure and shot-making of Pebble Beach in a way that feels incredibly authentic, while opening the door for more players to compete, connect, and play for a prize that reflects the event’s legacy.”

Powered by Trackman technology, the tournament ensures consistent course conditions, live leaderboards, and standardized scoring across all Five Iron Golf locations. Pebble Beach Golf Links was the most-played course across Five Iron Golf locations in 2025, with more than 80,000 rounds played, underscoring the course’s enduring appeal and the demand for competitive simulator play.

With a growing national footprint and a model that blends high-performance practice, competitive play, and social experience, Five Iron Golf continues to expand access to the game by bringing iconic courses and cultural moments indoors and into cities across the country.
