Brentwood, Tenn. – The Bank of Utah Championship winner led a standout weekend for Softspikes, wearing Tour Flex Pro spikes to secure victory on the PGA TOUR as players using the brand claimed titles across five of golf’s leading professional tours.
The PGA TOUR champion wore FootJoy shoes fitted with a limited-edition pink and white set of Tour Flex Pro spikes in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Across the leaderboard, 32 of the top 39 finishers chose replaceable spikes over spikeless footwear.
Representing more than 82 percent of those top finishers, the figure underlined the continued preference for replaceable spikes among PGA TOUR players. Victories on the DP World Tour, PGA TOUR Champions, Korn Ferry Tour and LPGA Tour completed the five-win weekend for Softspikes, with Pulsar and Silver Tornado spikes joining Tour Flex Pro in the winner’s circle.
On the DP World Tour, the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship winner relied on FootJoy shoes fitted with Softspikes Pulsar spikes. The same combination was worn by the Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic champion on PGA TOUR Champions, delivering a second victory of the week for Pulsar.
Silver Tornado spikes also featured in two victories, with both the Compliance Solutions Championship winner on the Korn Ferry Tour and the LOTTE Championship winner on the LPGA Tour wearing the spikes in Nike shoes.
“To see the PGA TOUR champion wearing Tour Flex Pro and 32 of the top 39 finishers choosing replaceable spikes makes this an outstanding week in Utah,” said Joe Henderson, President of Softspikes. “To have four more champions choosing our spikes across the other leading tours makes it even more special. These results reflect the confidence players have in the traction and stability our products provide when it matters most.”
For golfers at every level, the results serve as a timely reminder of the importance of traction underfoot. Replacing worn spikes is a simple way to maintain grip and stability, helping players get the most from their golf shoes.
Tour players routinely change spikes based on course conditions, but many amateur golfers overlook traction’s impact on consistency and distance. For optimal performance, golfers should replace spikes every 15 rounds.
