FlightScope Performance Data User Scott McCarron Wins Charles Schwab Cup
(ORLANDO, FL) – FlightScope – global leader in tracking and analyzing sports performance data – congratulates Scott McCarron on his triumph as the Charles Schwab Cup Champion, the season-long prize of the PGA TOUR Champions.
McCarrron, who uses the FlightScope X3 to prepare for competition, was a model of consistency this year, winning three times, to go along with three runner-up finishers while making the cut in all 26 of his starts. The UCLA alum has 11 wins on the PGA TOUR Champions in just four seasons.
“This was my goal to win the Schwab Cup since I got out here and I’ve finished fourth, third, second and now first,” said McCarron. “To come out on top, I can’t even describe it in words.”
While McCarron played stellar golf throughout the year, another FlightScope performance data user made certain the season-long title was not decided without drama. At this weekend’s Charles Schwab Cup Championship, Retief Goosen posted a final round 64 to force a playoff where he fell just short of winning the tournament.
“Both Scott and Retief played tremendously well throughout the season and are amongst a growing group of professional golfers who trust FlightScope technology to ensure they play their best during competition,” said Henri Johnson, Founder & CEO of FlightScope. “Both displayed a level of sustained excellence that only comes from knowing your game inside and out, which is exactly what FlightScope aims to provide to golfers everywhere.”
FlightScope’s X3 tracking technology provides several world first benefits to players and instructors, including its ‘Fusion Tracking,’ a combination of 3D tracking and image processing creating unmatched performance data. Newly upgraded software features include Environmental Optimizer technology, another world first which enables players to plan and prepare for specific tournament conditions, without having to leave their home course. FlightScope’s MultiCam App allows golfers to automatically record and sync data from multiple cameras for instant on-screen review.
