Leader in technology-driven solutions inks hundreds of software deals in 2020 with daily-fee courses, resorts and golf course management companies located throughout North America
Pleasant Grove, UT – Despite a global pandemic and widespread economic disruptions, foreUP, the golf industry’s pioneer and leading provider of cloud-based software for course management, concluded 2020 by setting a single-year record for client acquisitions. Between January and December, the company signed more than 450 courses to usage agreements for its online tee sheet and point-of-sale system.
“As a technology-based company, foreUP was in a unique position last year to help course owners and operators overcome an array of challenges they faced while capitalizing on a surge in play and increased interest in the game,” says Evan Teshima, CEO of foreUP. “We’re incredibly grateful for the trust our new and existing clients placed in us, and we look forward to strengthening these relationships in the months and years ahead.”
Although contract terms and conditions vary depending on the size, type and needs of the individual course or company, all of the new partnership agreements provide access to the foreUP tee sheet and POS system. Select members of the expanded foreUP network include:
· The Villages
· Walt Disney World® Golf
· Poppy Hills (CA)
· Poppy Ridge (CA)
· Alamo City (TX) Golf Trail
· Spirit Golf Management
· Milwaukee Golf Company
· Resurrection Golf
· Monmouth County (NJ) Park System
· Lake Powell National Golf Course (AZ)
· Baltimore (MD) Municipal Golf Corporation
· Shawnee County (KS) Parks and Recreation
· Springfield-Greene County (MO) Park Board
With the addition of these and other partner courses, the total number of facilities either utilizing or in the process of installing foreUP software now exceeds 1,400 in the United States and Canada.
Momentum from 2020 has carried over into 2021. Earlier this year, foreUP launched a comprehensive update to its online tee sheet during the all-virtual 2021 PGA Merchandise Show (January 26-21).
Migrations to the enhanced platform, which features a more intuitive design, improved functionality and expanded capabilities, have begun and will continue over the next few months. All current and future foreUP tee sheet customers will eventually be on the upgraded system.
“Technology has evolved continuously since foreUP introduced cloud-based software and transformed online tee time bookings,” Teshima says. “One thing that hasn’t is our mission to help golf course owners and operators run better businesses. The launch of the new foreUP tee sheet reaffirms our commitment to these core customers and sets a new standard for excellence within the industry.”
