How a newly appointed general manager took on his new mantle and a new provider at the same time
Four seasons ago, Pound Ridge Golf Club was faced with outdated systems. They sought something that would be more user-friendly, and foreUP delivered.
At the time, Larry Saperstein was a newly appointed general manager. He initially felt apprehensive about taking on a new role and implementing a whole new software system. However, the onboarding process was painless, and the staff quickly adapted. “It turned out to be the right choice,” he said, emphasizing the continuous support received from foreUP.
The impact on operations was immediate. Saperstein highlighted how foreUP streamlined customer processing, making transactions quicker across the board, from tee times to restaurant orders. “We can process someone literally in 30 seconds and then they’re out the door,” said Saperstein. This efficiency not only improved service but also boosted business.
Pound Ridge has expanded its use of foreUP, adopting their POS and, more recently, foreUP Payments. The new credit card system eliminated previous issues, speeding up transactions and enhancing customer experience.
“As we’ve grown with foreUP, there have been no glitches. Everything has worked out well,” said Saperstein.
